Evangelistic Effort:
Elder Weyel and Elder Tucker have safely returned from Vietnam. While in Vietnam, they were blessed to preach in a number of churches and to meet and visit with a number of pastors and congregations. The persecution of Christians in Vietnam is real, and is a source of great concern for those who desire the proclamation of the gospel. Brother Joseph and Brother Jamey were blessed to experience the persecution and harassment of Christians by the government on a couple of ocassions and are thankful for God's hand in delivering them on each occasion.
Please continue in prayer for the people of Vietnam, and specifically for the Christians who are daily preaching and teaching in a hostile environment. Some specific names for your prayers are Pastors, Tran Mai, Moses Phung, and Boaz Hua. Also pray for the churches of Cambodia and for the possibility of God opening a door for ministry in that country as well.
Annual Meeting:
The Luling Primitive Baptist Church will host its Annual Meeting August 3-5. The meeting will begin with supper at 5:30 PM Friday followed by worship at 7:00 PM. Worship times for Saturday and Sunday are 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 10:00 AM. Meals will be served both Saturday and Sunday.
